Nearly 10 Percent Of Amazon Visitors Clicked Off To Google
Yesterday, I
wrote about how Amazon had ended its relationship with Google and why not
being in Amazon — rather than Amazon-owned A9 — was potentially the bigger
issue for Google. Now in
Google, Amazon and MSN, Bill Tancer over at Hitwise provides some stats
detailing how Amazon, rather than A9, drove more “downstream” traffic to Google.
Bill’s stats show how nearly 10 percent of all departures from Amazon went to
Google, compared to only 2 percent of all departures from A9 going to Google.
Also keep in mind that Amazon’s traffic — though not shown — is certainly much
larger than A9’s traffic. Not only is the percentage larger, but the sheer
volume of people is bigger too.
