Bing Gets Served on The Colbert Report [Video]
Google’s accusation that Bing copied Google’s search results has gotten mainstream media attention from the BBC to the Wall Street Journal. Last night, the search wars received the Colbert bump.
Bing is one of Stephen Colbert’s most promoted sponsors on “The Colbert Report,” (Colbert and Bing donated $150,000 to help clean up the gulf after the BP oil spill last summer in a promotion where every time Cobert said “Bing” in any context, Microsoft would donate $1,500) and last night he offered his brief comedic take on Google vs. Bing, noting that, “For the first time ever, someone’s search history has been busted for something other than porn,” and cited Google’s “Proofle” from the “sting operation.”
“Evidently, hiybbprqag is a word meaning: you got served,” Colbert joked.
