The 2011 Google Doodle for the 4th of July captures many parts of the country with a unity of road and rainbow. The light fades from east to west reflecting the time differences. New York is represented by the Statute of Liberty and the fireworks and California is seen through the Golden Gate bridge – this doodle has many facets.
Florida is there with oranges and a guitar, the midwest seen through the cowboy hat wearing horse, there is baseball and a house with a white picket fence with an American looking car out front. There is even the Sears Tower up in the region where Chicago could be and a barn captures the farming land. All in all a great depiction of the country inside a small logo.
