Google sponsored ads get a new Visit site label

Google is testing a “Visit site” label on sponsored ads, featuring blue text on a white background with a border. Clicking the label takes users to the same website as the ad title.

Google is testing a “Visit site” label on sponsored ads. I spotted it today. The label appears in the corner of the ad, with a white background, blue text, and a border.

When a user clicks the label, they are taken to the same website as when they click the ad’s title.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks.

Personally, I like this kind of CTA label, and it could help the click-through rate for the website. We have seen similar labels on Bing sponsored results. I am assuming Google may test more labels like this, such as “Learn more” or “Shop now.”

Bing is testing a menu-style links design within sponsored results, different from its recent bubble-box sitelinks, though it could not be replicated on a second visit.
