Reddit adds campaign forecasts and an optimization score to its advertising tools. The features, announced on October 20, are rolling out to advertisers through October.
The update also expands campaign budget optimization, which allocates spending among ad groups.
The planner turns forecasts into draft campaigns
Advertisers can compare projected reach, impressions and costs across different budgets, audiences, objectives and placements. Their selected plan can become a draft campaign.

When comparing budgets, keep the audience and objective fixed to see the estimated effect of spending more. Save the chosen forecast before launch so later reporting can compare actual delivery with that original estimate.
The score recommends changes during campaign setup
Reddit’s optimization score rates a campaign from zero to 100% and supplies recommendations during creation and editing.
Its internal July-to-September data associates scores of at least 80% with a 19.6% lower blended cost per acquisition. Reddit labels the results not typical and provides no sample size or detailed adjustment method.
Advertisers in those groups may also differ in their offers, audiences and conversion definitions. To assess a recommendation, record the change and compare its effect on the campaign’s own conversion goal over a defined period.
Three budget-optimization objectives remain in beta
Campaign budget optimization supports Awareness and consideration and Traffic. Sales, Lead generation and App promotion are in beta.

Advertisers set a campaign’s budget and bids, while Reddit distributes its spending among ad groups. For lead generation, review that allocation alongside qualified leads: a shift toward cheaper submissions can change which prospects reach the sales team.
